Dr. Lin

Dr. Lin performed left Paraopthalmic ICA or brain Aneurysm for me 2.5 weeks ago. The minimal invasive flow diversion surgery for my 2 aneurysms was successfully operated. I had the surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center on 68th street Manhattan. Besides the best surgeon, I was at the aneurysm center as well.

Dr. Lin is very easy to talk with, thoughtful and considerate. He explained the procedure in as much detail as I needed. I had no side effectssuch as headache or blurry vision.

I found some difficulty with the office surgery scheduler but New York Presbyterian Manager in Queens ,Mrs. Gil, helped me solve the problem. Do not give up on one of the best and talented Surgeon because of difficult staff. The first gate of Nuero Surgery Department Schedulers were really nice - Nicole, Millie, Maria- thank you for helping me. Without your help I would not have an opportunity for my surgery with Dr. Lin.

My 2 weeks post operative was through Zoom meeting. I live in Connecticut and it took over an hour to drive to Fresh Meadow, Queens. Thus Zoom meeting was excellent. Dr. Lin showed me the X-Tay of postoperative where my flow diversion was located as well.

I have had an amazing recovery with 1 days post operative pain only. I am grateful to Dr. Lin and the surgical team. Dr. Lin has a very nice bedside manner , in addition to being a top surgeon from top Ivy-league University.

Thank you to Dr. Lin’s team at Weill Cornell Medical Center as well. All of you were wonderful.

We have had the worst experience with the Surgeon Dr Ning Lin, M.D. at this practice. For background, my family member is an elder with herniated disc on spine with pain for 10+months. Dr Lin recommended an noninvasive surgery option and made a statement that promised the patient would feel relieve from the constant pain and can walk home 3 hours after surgery. Elderly patient had considerable amount of pain post surgery and did not experience the kind of relief Dr Lin had promised. Elderly patient is very disappointed based on the expectations set by Dr Lin and felt our decision to proceed with the surgery recommendation was ill informed and manipulated by Dr Lin.

To make the matters worse, since the surgery, the post op visits with Dr Lin at this practice entailed regularly a 2 hour+ of waiting in their sitting area/very painful for a patient who could not sit while under severe pain. And last time in their office, after an hour into waiting, we were informed Dr Lin was called away for an emergency and asked us to wait longer in the exam room but not sure when he will return. We were seen by an PA after demanding to see someone. Lately, the appointment with Dr Lin has been cancelled twice. We will not be going back to him and will seek help from other more reputable doctors. Dr Lin needs to learn better patient communication and run a better practice.

Unfortunately, the recovery process was very difficult after the surgery and this impacted the overall mobility. I am leaving the old review below but I don’t think I will ever recover fully. The doctor was very confident the impact will be minimal but it just didn’t work out as expected.

We came to know Dr Lin 2 years back when we were admitted to the ER. We decided to move forward with the procedure recently because we are very happy in our follow up visits for the past two years. During our pre-op session, we were introduced to an entire team of professionals who work with him side by side. We were totally impressed by how much he is respected by his peers as a top surgeon. We are absolutely blessed to have him to help us.

Best doctor and surgeon I've encountered. Brain tumor removal surgery for my mom was a success. I think he's one of the best in his field. He is very professional, pleasant, caring, responsive to questions (all the time). Staff is attentive as well.
