The ladies here at Pasadena villa have been absolutely wonderful! They are always willing to help when you are having anxiety. They understand group therapy can be hard for some patients and will work with you to overcome those anxieties and connect with the group. The patients who come here are supportive and friendly and willing to do whatever to make you feel comfortable with sharing. I had my reservations about IOP programs not really thinking one would help me, but the program layout is great. It covers so many topics and provides so many helpful coping skills for all kinds of different diagnoses and situations. Overall, I had a wonderful time in a safe environment with safe and respectful clinicians. I cannot recommend this program enough.

To say Pasadena Villa changed my life would be a colossal understatement of the century. Pasadena Villa gave me the tools to get my life back and progress forward. I learned distress tolerance, trauma education, and endless coping skills to help deal with life.

I graduated Pasadena Villa in March of 2024. Nearly 3 months later, I am still using the tools I learned here on a daily basis. It is truly transformational and helpful to go through the program. The staff is caring, compassionate, and genuine. You are COMPLETELY safe. You will learn to love yourself, to cope with life’s most difficult moments and traumas, and to rebuild yourself in a way that makes you proud.

From well-educated staff that genuinely care about helping set you up for success, to a group therapy setting where you will find the best support! It is absolutely incredible being able to say I finally put myself first after so much grief and pain and I can whole-heartedly say I DESERVE to take up space. This program allowed me to have constant support while adjusting back into “real life” coming out of residential treatment and was the most beneficial part of my treatment! I cannot recommend Pasadena enough. If you are looking for a sign to take care of you, this is IT! #youmatter

Pasadena Villa-Knoxville is a place I never knew about or never expected to need but I’m so grateful I was referred to them last fall. I went through their PHP and IOP from Nov-Dec 2023 when I hit my lowest point mentally and physically. Terrified and in shell shock initially, the staff of Pasadena Villa were so very compassionate and welcoming from the moment I walked in the door. The online virtual tour of their office was very helpful before my first day because I had an idea of where I was going. I was especially scared of the group therapy concept (who wants to open up in front of total strangers!?) but once I trusted the process and the people around me who were also there for similar reasons, it truly began to help me. I learned more in the first week at Pasadena, between the wonderful therapists and my fellow group members, than I have in my entire adult life of therapy. One of the best parts of the program was doing yoga with Laura during the week. I had no idea how helpful it would be and it was something we all looked forward to. It didn’t matter what kind of “shape” we were in, it was a judgement-free zone and Laura was always willing to help us do whatever we were capable of. I can’t recommend Pasadena enough and I’m so thankful for what they do. It is a wonderful alternative to most of our less than ideal mental health resources in the Knoxville area. No one plans to need this level of care, but this is exactly the place and group of people who can help you learn and work through your struggles when you do.
