Love this place! John is a great guy and I love supporting local businesses! It's clean, the people are great here! Same friendly faces every morning. I'm the lady that prances around in her bare feet, also known as high intensity interval training. I've been doing it for over 12 years and if anyone wants to join me in one of my workouts, come along and you can keep your shoes on. I know I seem intense and focused in my workouts, but I'm actually very much a people person. ?Oh, the music is very nice too. ❤️✝️

The Halls facility was a great place to workout, but lately the people working out there just don't put their weights away. They will load up a bench with plates and just walk away. Leaving other members to clean up after them. I have yet to see a staffer tell a member to put their weights away. It is so bad that I'm looking to move on. My son's and I have been a member there for 5 years now. I travel a lot for work and the other Workout Anytime gyms don't have this problem.

I used this gym as a secondary for a few weeks while I was working in Knoxville. They (without talking to me) cancelled my phone app barcode, called me and said that they are now my home gym and I had to come in to redo the signup process that I did a year ago at my ACTUAL home gym in Sevierville. I cancelled on the spot. Just because someone uses your gym for a few weeks doesn't make your gym their home gym. And you definitely should not make changes to their membership account before speaking with them so they can confirm that you are in fact their new home gym.

We recently joined after cancelling with PF because they allow men in the women's locker room. Today was our first workout and the whole vibe there is awesome! Everyone was friendly, the music was great and family appropriate, everyone puts their weights back up, and it was very clean. I'm so glad we've joined! ?

I have been going to Halls and Powell location since 2016. It was close to my house vs Golds that was close to my work but the Owner John has always been so helpful supportive and welcoming to me. There is a good selection of equipment and the place is kept very well. I have noticed some of the managers he hires tend to be over barring and hassling. One in the past I think his name was Zach and now he has a blond female that consistently follows me around complaining and letting me know im late on my gym membership when i have an app that tells me and i just pay a late fee its more money for them anyway. Finally i had to tell her Mam i have been here for going on 10 years and she said she was doing her job and i said yeah a good job at ruining my workouts every morning. I also had my stuff at the squat rack and the rack loaded ran to the bathroom when i got back the employee was cleaning under the squat rack i couldn't complete my next set. he may have thought someone left the bar loaded but my bag and pump cover was there. So same morning i went on to the quad extension machine and superset kettlebell squats and another worker started cleaning the quad extension machine while i was literally working out on it. I had to ask him if he was going to be there all day could he please wait until i was done working out on the equipment. oh also the shower was ice cold from december to february every morning it made me late for work because i would have to stand there in my towell waiting for them to flip the breaker on the water heater. It didn't bother me to bad except once i had to take a cold plunge because they couldn't fix it and the same horrible harassing female manager showed not one ounce of empathy when i dealt with that. so i am deciding to close my membership and now i am going to National Fitness

Strictly my opinion, but I’m not completely sold on this gym. Unfortunately, this is the only gym in the halls area so it’s hard to avoid if you’re looking for a local (in town) gym. It’s very small so when you go during busy hours it seems impossible to get on certain machines. The teenagers that work the front desk are nice but you can definitely tell it’s their first (maybe second) job so be patient with them. Equipment is a little out of date from what I’m use to and the cleanliness could use some improvement. Over all I’m not super impressed/motivated going to this gym so I will have to travel a little farther to find something that fits my needs. I will give them kudos for being open (to members) 24 hours a day. Pricing is a little steep for what they offer but I guess it’s justified because they’re open 24 hours. I recently cancelled my membership and was forced to pay for an additional month - even though I cancelled before another month was due. I don’t believe it’s right for ANY gym to require a 30-days notice for cancellation when you only give employers a 2-weeks notice. That policy has never made sense to me, but it seems as though a lot of gyms are pushing that policy post Covid. Gyms should know that unexpected things happen and sometimes families don’t have the extra money to pay for a month they’ll never use. Again this is all my opinion, so take it with a grain-of-salt. I never had a “bad” experience at this gym (thankfully); this gym just wasn’t for me and my fitness needs.

Can we get the TVs fixed, they have been screwed up for weeks now. Would like to be able to watch Donovan Mitchell play while lifting but can’t because apparently a television is too difficult to fix.

I wish I could be leaving a good review but I'm not. Last time I worked out here I was laughed at and recorded by another female. Also I'm having to cancel due to moving out of the city and they are charging me for 2 months just to cancel. This place is a waste of time.
